The Way of the Warrior

Ahead of Sri Aurobindo's birthday, NAMAH hosted a two-day hybrid workshop, The Way of the Warrior, on 13–14 August 2026, exploring the symbolic battles waged within our consciousness. Guided by the teachings of the Mother and Sri Aurobindo, ten illuminating sessions lead by ten different practitioners, with their own unique approach, provided richly diverse insights into how we can rise from victimhood to spiritual warriorhood.

Day 1: Invoking Strength, Harmony, and Somatic Rooting

The workshop commenced with the host's reminder that our most necessary and urgent battles are those within us. James Anderson opened the sessions with Walking Through the Furnace, guiding participants to withdraw from surface consciousness, ignite the inner fire of Agni, and arm themselves with the breath-aligned invocation of Maa.

ImageExploring the dynamic relationship between strength and love, Divyanshi Chugh's The Radha Power: Beyond the Kurukshetra revealed that Maa Durga's power as a warrior foundation is indispensable before we can fully awaken to Maa Radha's supreme, supramental Love and Ananda.

Expanding to a cosmic scale, Manoj Pavithran's The Paradox of Battle for Oneness mapped the evolutionary purpose of conflict, presenting Ex-Machina as nature's method of forcing collective unity. He highlighted Auroville as an occult seed of inspired human unity, framing the new war as a creative battle of ideas, narratives, and models.

In Heart Melting in Flame, Arul Dev explored the psychic being as our higher compass and shared the triple formula of aspiration, rejection, and surrender, demonstrating how to touch and transform our daily entanglements.

Dr. Monica Gulati's The Daily Life of a Warrior linked the original creation story to our ongoing evolutionary leap. Drawing from Sri Aurobindo's depiction of the Aryan as the divine fighter and victor who climbs toward the Divine through right choice, she urged seekers to sweep their being daily and face challenges with absolute certitude in the Divine Presence.

The day culminated in a somatic journey with Dr. Sahana Savitri's Embracing Warrior Spirit: Insights from Kalaripayattu Journey. She illustrated how this ancient martial art serves as a physical womb of protection where Chuvudus (foundational postures) cultivate anchoring, grace, and vital perfection, proving that the warrior's peak force is rooted in deep inner silence.

Day 2: Navigating the Unseen and Marching ForwardImage

Day 2 plunged deeper into the hidden layers of consciousness. Dr. Alok Pandey opened with The Inner War, detailing the clashing multitudes of our past evolutionary residues. He described the inner Yajna of aspiration and emphasised that our ultimate weapons against the hostile forces of doubt and fear are unwavering courage, faith, and the protective refuge of the Great Name.

Ankita Sharma's When Maa Kali Takes Over highlighted malleability as the first condition of Yoga. She explained how Maa Kali's intense, transformative love strips away artificiality, while the Mother provides a compassionate cushion of love to support our transition into the Divine Will.

ImageIn Forward, Ever Forward!, Shweta C Rajurkar illustrated how choosing to reject the Shad-Ripu (six enemies) banishes the shadows of depression from the sunlit path. She invoked the spirit of Veergati, calling on participants to stand steadfast for the truth without personal agendas.

The workshop concluded with Dr. Soumitra Basu's session, The Occult War, demystifying the invisible forces of the evolutionary and involutionary worlds and demonstrating that sincere and safe aspiration is protected by the Mother's universal Chit Shakti.

By the close of the gathering, participants emerged not as individual seekers, but as a collectively inspired, battle-ready battalion of Spiritual Warriors, poised to march forward into the new creation.
