These are times of rapid shifts, a revolutionary shift at several levels, so to speak. These are periods of rapid growth or else of sudden unexpected collapses. While some find the unprecedented changes intimidating, others, very few though they may be, take a leap towards the future.

A spiritual evolution or, shall we say, a spiritual revolution is silently under way. It is leading to tremendous shifts leading to great inner and outer changes. While we are witnessing the outer changes and trying to make sense of them through the outer factors, the inner causes are operating quietly.

We can look at life as a wave that is born from the ocean depths of the One Consciousness. It rises and peaks awhile and then declines. But is that the end of the story? It rises again, the same wave though different, altered by the play of the ocean and the wind. Yet if we look at it carefully, we shall see that with each rise and fall it is pushed a little forward.

Life and Death, Creation and Destruction have moved together, hand in hand since the time the universe or universes came into existence. The reason for this is obvious. Creation is an ongoing process just as life is a continuous process. With each breath, we push in the creative energy of life. But this endless creative impulsion has to be balanced by destruction to make way for the new.

The world today cries for Peace, Unity and Harmony. But we know not how to achieve it. Let alone the larger context, it is difficult enough for us to build and enjoy the fruits of Unity even within the small set-up of a family or a community.
